Title:Finance Analyst

Location: New York, NY

Duration:12-month contract (high extension possibility based on performance)

Shift:Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Pay Range:$45/hr to $60/hr

Description:

• The Muni Finance Group supports Municipal Markets and Banking, managing financial control for products like Municipal bonds, Securitizations, TRSwaps, Muni Credit Derivatives, and IR Derivatives.
• Responsibilities include daily, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting and balance sheet substantiation through Valuation controls.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong control focus
• Provide independent analysis for trading desks in the Municipal Banking and Markets Division
• Complete monthly and quarterly reporting for Independent Price Verification
• Analyze product valuations and develop tools to improve analysis
• Collaborate with Front Office, Trade Support, Technology, Market Risk, and other CFO teams
• Ensure and enhance the Control Framework, identifying gaps and implementing improvements
• Proactively drive change and process improvements
• Liaise with various groups across the organization globally
• Participate in ad hoc projects and Finance initiatives to streamline processing and increase controls

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with CFO and valuation control processes for Securities and Derivatives, preferably Credit
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player with a positive attitude

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of fixed income or structured products
• Proficient in Excel; VBA and/or SQL skills are a plus
• Understanding of IT developments and their impact on CFO processes
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Effective planning and execution of client deliverables
