Description

As a Product Marketing Manager at Fleetio, you will leverage your experience to move our Product Marketing strategy forward and be a champion for our product and customers. You’ll be expected to play a key role in the success of our growing partnerships, focused on product integrations and evangelizing our product to referral and reseller partnerships. This role will focus on supporting Fleetio’s go-to-market initiatives and joint initiatives with partners.

You’ll be reporting to the Director of Product Marketing and joining an impactful Product Marketing team.

We’re looking for a high-performing and experienced Product Marketer who is excited about driving end-to-end success from market discovery to go-to-market to join our team to evangelize Fleetio and help articulate its features and benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Become our Product Marketing subject matter expert on everything to do with our partnerships, from Product Integrations (native and third-party) to working with our channel and referral partners to understand and communicate the value of Fleetio.
  • Work with stakeholders, including Product Management, to identify priorities for better, deeper integrations and drive adoption of our partner ecosystem, including Fleetio’s Integration App Store discovery.
  • Collaborate with Partner Marketing, Channel Partnerships on developing internal and external product-specific marketing content such as collaterals, videos, speaking submissions, webinars, etc.
  • Influence Fleetio’s product strategy and priorities and the role channel partnerships play in achieving our business goals.
  • Use your industry knowledge and an understanding of our product’s value to collaborate with the rest of the Product team on decision-making regarding product discovery, strategy, and commercialization.
  • Be the voice of the customer — talk to customers to understand their unique needs, how they use our products and how Fleetio makes their jobs and lives easier, and leverage knowledge from our internal teams (Product, Sales, Customer Success).
  • Manage partner-driven product launches and go-to-market plans in collaboration with product management, customer success, marketing, and sales teams - building ongoing momentum for our teams that lead to partner-led customer acquisition and retention, tracking and reporting on success.
  • Establish, maintain, and evangelize our products through value proposition and messaging frameworks, establishing proof points, and ensuring utilization across stakeholders through right-time and right-place knowledge.
  • Lead ongoing market and competitive research as part of product discovery, points of differentiation, and areas of opportunity through one-to-many research methods and one-to-one conversations with partners and customers.
  • Partner with Enablement to ensure our partners are prepared to discuss the value of Fleetio in the market, driving demand and customer advocacy.
  • Contribute to PMM-wide initiatives and process improvements to our launch readiness, research strategies, messaging frameworks, and enablement efforts, working collaboratively across the organization.
  • Act as a thought leader for products externally, including speaking engagements and written works, as well as internally through influencing decision-making, presenting business cases and updates to stakeholders.
  • Track and report to leadership on OKRs and goals that drive business impact, including business revenue, product adoption, and retention.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an effective translator between product value and customer needs. They can gather, digest, and translate the technical information provided by engineers, product managers, customer pains/gains/jobs, and the competitive environment to benefit the customer and users.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a relevant field
  • Product Marketing Alliance, Pragmatic Institute or similar Product Marketing training
  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing
  • 3+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS company (Fleet industry is a plus)
  • Experienced in public speaking at both internal and external events (conferences, panels, webinars)
  • Previous channel/partner relationship experience in a product or marketing-related capacity
  • Self-driven and actively looking for opportunities to learn and share those learnings with the Product Marketing team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Whether writing or speaking, you’re able to express ideas clearly and powerfully, always taking into consideration brand voice and intended audience
  • Creative thinker with the ability to present our products and value propositions in a fresh, inventive way while staying true to brand look and feel
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and efficiently, managing projects with many moving parts
  • Exceptional research skills through both primary and secondary research methods to allow for immersion into the tech and fleet spaces
  • Knowledge of Asana, Salesforce CRM, marketing automation, and other product marketing tools (e.g., Marketo, Figma, Chameleon, Gong, etc.)
  • Proven track record of problem-solving in an innovative environment
  • Knows and understands how businesses work, strategies and techniques to impact both customer experience and bottom line
  • A committed desire to understand our customers needs and the problems we are trying to solve
  • A proven track record of strong cross-functional collaboration
  • Can manage through unclear situations, finding a way forward without all the facts, comfortable making a decision without the complete picture
  • Self-motivated and enjoys a fast-paced environment

Considered a plus

  • Experience working with partners such as third-party applications/integrations, referral, and channel partners.
  • Experience with hybrid PLG (product-led growth) and SLG (sales-led growth) products
