About the Role

We’re looking for talented engineers who thrive on working on complex problems and solving them through building reliable, scalable systems. You’ll work across backend services, data pipelines, and APIs that form the foundation of our platform.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll partner with engineers across the team to empower them to improve the feature development velocity. If you enjoy solving ambiguous bugs and setting systems in place to improve the development experience of high achieving teams, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Test features that help manage half a billion dollars of annual spend and save customers millions of dollars per month
  • Design and implement comprehensive test cases for complex, multi-cloud data workflows and user interfaces
  • Build and maintain automated frontend testing using Playwright across our web application
  • Perform thorough manual testing of new features with a focus on user experience and edge cases
  • Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution with detailed reproduction steps and context
  • Create and maintain testing documentation including test plans, test cases, and QA processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand feature requirements and identify potential failure modes
  • Develop testing strategies for data-heavy features spanning multiple cloud providers
  • Establish and maintain quality gates for releases and deployments
  • Own the end-to-end testing process—from test planning to execution to reporting

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of QA engineering experience, with heavy focus on frontend and web application testing
  • Expert-level experience with Playwright or similar frontend testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium)
  • Strong ability to create comprehensive test cases that cover happy paths, edge cases, and failure scenarios
  • Exceptional bug hunting skills with a keen eye for UI/UX issues and subtle defects
  • Outstanding documentation skills—ability to write clear, detailed bug reports and test documentation
  • Experience testing complex data-driven applications and SaaS platforms
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to write effective tests
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration (GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Excellent communicator who can advocate for quality and work collaboratively with engineering teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with fast-paced environments
  • Experience running QA systems for high achieving teams

Work Setup

Remote role with opportunity to work in our New York City, with an office in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
