As a Senior Backend Engineer on our team, you’ll  be crucial in crafting features that both accelerate and enrich every connection, helping our customers find new talent, enhance their sales, and make other impactful professional connections. You'll develop user-friendly flows, construct data pipelines that supply essential insights, and leverage AI-driven matching algorithms to forge more efficient and meaningful connections. Your Experience:

  • 7+ years in software development with a strong background in a startup environment building web applications.
  • Proficiency in Ruby is a must.
  • Quick learner, able to adapt to our codebase quickly.
  • Strong communicator, able to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively, avoiding ambiguities and misunderstandings.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ML/AI feature development.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React is our choice), enabling you to unblock yourself with a frontend tweak when necessary.
  • Experience working remotely, and an understanding of best practices that foster productivity and collaboration in a fully remote setting.
  • Building SaaS applications.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement elegant user-centric solutions alongside PMs and designers.
  • Work with autonomy on large projects critical to our roadmap, aiming for simplicity and effectiveness.
  • Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code.
  • Contribute to defining our coding standards and best practices, and help to evolve our technical architecture.
  • Enhance the performance, reliability and security of our systems.
  • Foster an environment of rapid iteration and feedback, contributing to a culture that values innovation, learning, and impact.

We help 850+ independent professional networks — including venture capital funds (Lerer Hippeau), accelerators (Techstars), membership communities (Chic Geek), economic development organizations  (Launch Tennessee), universities (University of Toronto), and more — make better introductions for their members and measure the outcomes of their intros.

  • Techstars 2017 graduates
  • Our co-founders have been working together in the recruiting space for the last 10 years and are multi-time founders
  • Remote-first company, from 2018 (before covid)
  • 18 team members across 7+ countries (Hear from Ted & meet Thomas from our team)
  • As a fully remote company, we don't have offices, but we do get together virtually and in-person for Summits (Germany, Cape Town, San Fran, Portugal...)
