*The Role
*
We are looking for a video editor who thinks like a growth marketer. Not someone who makes pretty videos. Someone who knows why a video gets watched to the end and can prove it with data.
You will own short-form editing across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Meta paid creative. You will work directly with the founding team, including our Chief Product & Growth Officer, and your work ships daily.
*What You Will Do
*
Edit 15 to 30+ short-form videos per week across organic and paid, from raw UGC, founder footage, and ambassador content
Engineer hooks: rewrite, re-cut, and re-sequence the first 1 to 3 seconds until thumbstop rate and 3-second view rates hit benchmark
Study retention graphs religiously. Identify drop-off points, fix them in the next cut, and document what worked
Build creative variations for paid testing: same body, 5 different hooks; same hook, 3 different CTAs
Subtitle, localize, and adapt content for Spanish (Spain and LATAM) and English audiences, including cultural nuance, not just translation
Design static creative: Meta ad statics, carousels, Stories frames, YouTube thumbnails, and organic feed graphics, all within Axo's brand system
Run static creative testing the same way as video: headline variations, visual concepts, format swaps, judged by CTR and CPA
Develop and maintain Axo's visual language across video and static: pacing, captions, sound design, motion graphics, typography, and layout within our brand system
Collaborate with our growth team on weekly creative reviews driven by metrics: thumbstop rate, hold rate, average watch time, hook rate, CTR, CPA by creative
*What We Look For

2+ years editing short-form social content with receipts: accounts you grew, ads you scaled, retention curves you improved
A static design portfolio that shows you can work inside a brand system, not just freestyle. Ad creative experience preferred over print or editorial
You can explain the difference between a 3-second hook rate and a thumbstop rate without Googling it
Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken. You can caption, localize, and catch tone in both
Native fluency in social. You know what is trending on TikTok this week, not last quarter
Fast, organized, and self-directed. You hit deadlines without being chased
Pro-level CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve for video. Figma or Photoshop/Illustrator for static. After Effects for motion graphics is a strong plus

German language skills (we are launching in Germany)
Experience in health, wellness, fitness, longevity, or supplement brands
Experience editing for paid social specifically, with knowledge of Meta and TikTok ad specs and policies
Basic understanding of Meta Ads Manager metrics or Triple Whale style attribution
You have built or grown your own social account
