Overview of the role

We are looking to hire a cyber security engineer with hands on experience in penetration testing techniques, and an analytical mind set and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies.

Cyber security engineers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

What you’ll be doing

• Responsible for application (Web & Mobile) & infrastructure penetration testing.
• Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
• Manage the development of cyber security programs in different domains including the development of strategy, architecture, identity and access management and cyber security solutions based on leading practices such as PCI, NIST, CIS, ISO27 and others.
• Participate extensively in the design of end-to-end security operations center with the required facility, processes, technologies and people.
• Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
• Conduct research on emerging cyber security technologies and disseminate knowledge to Technology consultants where required.
• Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
• Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
• 0-2 years of experience in cyber security including development of cyber security strategies, end to end cyber security transformation programs, security architecture and extensive knowledge of latest cyber security technologies and standards.
• Strong understanding & hands-on experience in penetration testing techniques.
• Strong understanding and preferably application of security controls global standards (PCI & ISO 27001).
• Hands on with scripting languages (e.g.: Python, Java, Power Shell…)
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and threats.
• Ability to learn new concepts and carry out technical research.
• Proven IT skills in Microsoft Office and G-suite applications.
