Salary Range: SGD 126K - 151.5K + RSUs
Your mission:
Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking, and they can spend every day using our Wise debit card.
The Spend OPS team is part of Spend squad whose mission is: reliable, convenient & eventually free to spend anywhere in the world;
By now, we have a well organised operational team, who work very closely with our dedicated engineering and product teams, across offices in three continents. We partner with the card schemes and other relevant product, engineering and operational teams in Wise, to get things done.
As a Card Compliance & Monitoring Manager, you will focus on overseeing compliance with regulatory and industry standards for card payment transactions, ensuring health and performance of transaction processes, and leading initiatives to improve transactional efficiency and regulatory alignment.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing:
Oversee the health of card transactions to ensure seamless customer experience and minimal disruptions.
Monitor transaction processing metrics such as decline rates, authorization speeds, and transaction volumes.
Understand compliance requirements with all card network (e.g., Visa, Mastercard,) regulations and scheme requirements.
Engage with card networks, staying ahead of upcoming changes and requirements, be able to stand the grounds from the issuance perspective;
Collaborate with the card risk and fraud teams to set up systems that detect and mitigate abuse activity within card transactions.
Implement controls that protect the company from reputational and financial risks associated with non-compliance.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for transaction health and scheme compliance.
Report on transactional health and compliance metrics to executive leadership, identifying areas for improvement.
Implement action plans for any identified gaps or risks in transaction health or compliance adherence.
Lead efforts to improve transaction quality and compliance processes, such as optimization of authorization rates and decline mitigation.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to implement new systems or modify existing ones to meet compliance needs.
Develop and implement a strategy for continuous improvement in transactional health and scheme compliance, aligning with broader business goals.
Manage and develop a team responsible for monitoring and reporting on transactional health and compliance.
A bit about you:
Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of card payment networks, regulatory standards, and the transaction lifecycle.
Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with regulatory standards like PCI-DSS, as well as specific card network rules.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
Leadership: Strong team management skills and experience leading initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Communication: Proficiency in communicating compliance requirements, transaction issues, and improvement strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to address issues swiftly and effectively.
