What does a work environment look like at Vouch?
Vouch has employees located across the U.S., with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. While this role has hybrid work flexibility, we prefer it to be based near our Chicago office to help foster close collaboration and team building.
Why this role matters:
The Placements team is the engine room of Vouch’s brokerage. This is where trust meets execution — where clients count on us to secure the coverage that protects their future, and carriers look to us to bring them the most innovative companies in the market.
As a Placement Coordinator, you’ll be a critical support partner to our brokers, ensuring that placements move quickly, accurately, and seamlessly. Your work accelerates deal flow, protects client timelines, and keeps our data and documentation sharp — directly impacting revenue recognition and client satisfaction.
This role is designed to give you a front-row seat to the full brokerage cycle. You’ll develop hands-on expertise with carriers, coverage structures, compliance filings, and placement technology — building the foundation to grow into a broker role at Vouch.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with brokers and account managers — building strong relationships and learning to anticipate needs in order to proactively support deal flow and client outcomes.
- Prepare and track submissions — ensuring brokers and carriers have the information they need to move quickly and efficiently.
- Coordinate outstanding requirements and subjectivities — reducing bottlenecks, accelerating time-to-bind, and strengthening trust with clients and underwriters.
- Quote and process less complex renewals — developing firsthand experience with carrier workflows and the fundamentals of broking.
- Assign and manage workload across the placements team — helping balance priorities, ensuring smooth handoffs, and maximizing team efficiency.
- Complete surplus lines filings — supporting compliance requirements while building regulatory fluency.
About you:
- 1–3 years of experience in commercial insurance (brokerage, carrier, or related role) preferred.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for getting things right the first time.
- Comfortable working across teams and communicating with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Tech-forward: familiar with tools like Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar systems, and eager to adopt new technology.
- Hungry to learn the brokerage craft, with interest in progressing toward client-facing broking responsibilities.
Nice to have:
- Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with surplus lines filings, Acord forms, or carrier portals.
- Exposure to renewal workflows or placement support in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in high-growth industries such as fintech, AI, life sciences, or venture capital.
