The Regional Partnerships Manager will be an in-person point of contact for the RGV region to spearhead and nurture relationships with partners. The primary purpose of the role is to identify and engage relevant regional stakeholders - in collaboration with our leadership team - and to meet with them (in-person where possible) to strengthen our work in the region. This includes support for Viva Benefits’ mission of offering area residents - primarily renters living in affordable housing communities - access to “benefits,” which includes resources available through VivaBenefits.com.
Together with our partners - including mission-aligned non-profits, and even partners such as cities, schools, and churches - we provide a 'continuum of care.'

- Minimum 10 hours per week
- Maximum 40 hours per week
- Travel to on-site work locations in the RGV region is required
- Travel mileage will be reimbursed

- You will have clear goals but will have flexibility to determine days / times that you accomplish the work
- Note: You will want to make yourselves available to residents including at the times they are available, so some evenings and weekends are ideal
Compensation:
- Pay range is commensurate with experience: $20 - $35 per hour
- Will revisit and renegotiate as appropriate no later than 180 days after start
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage relevant regional stakeholders, including but not limited to:
- Affordable housing organizations
- Public health and medical organizations
- Other organizations providing holistic, wrap-around services
- Outline and execute a prioritized plan to efficiently and strategically engage (e.g., phone/video call, in-person meetings) the most critical stakeholders
- (i.e., “hubs” or super-connectors)
- A reasonable meeting cadence would be about 4 per week for 10 hours (all in) of time.
- Additionally this role may provide outreach, engagement, and strong customer service to existing partners (eg: current customers).
- Additionally this role may support our regional RGV Community Success Managers (CSMs) OR even serve as the primary CSM - RGV (as needed)
- Refer community residents as necessary to the appropriate services and agencies that might be able to help as needed
- Assist with social media/website and other promotional materials, as needed
- Provide additional administrative support on invoicing, partner management, program reporting, program reminders, and program updates
Qualifications:
- An intellectually curious generalist or ‘T-shaped’ professional
- Aspiration to learn about early-stage startups
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Motivated to help people: e.g. Viva is focused on creating equity for all through housing
- Bilingual fluency preferred: English, Spanish
- Social workers and public health professionals encouraged
- The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in resident services/service-enriched affordable rental housing, with some experience in management or scaled practices such as:
- Helping deliver benefits (eg: health, education, financial inclusion) directly to diverse families in a high-need (rural or urban) context
