As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to join our team. This pivotal role will work directly with the co-founders, driving our growth and market penetration strategies.
Job Summary: We’re looking for a Startup Generalist — a sharp, scrappy operator who thrives on figuring things out and making things happen. You’ll work directly with the co-founders on whatever needs to get done: partnerships, marketing campaigns, customer acquisition, operations, special projects, and more.
This is a high-autonomy, high-ownership role. There is no playbook — you’ll be building the plane while flying it. You’ll be asked to dive into unfamiliar challenges, learn fast, and deliver results without a lot of hand-holding.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Content:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns across channels (email, social, events, etc.)
- Manage and grow our social media presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Work with designers and creators to launch new content and creative
- Write and edit copy for blog posts, newsletters, and product launches
Growth & Partnerships:
- Launch and iterate user acquisition experiments across organic and paid channels
- Support BD efforts — from cold outreach to follow-ups and onboarding
- Help run campus/base marketing activations and partnership programs
Ops & Projects:
- Operationalize internal workflows (e.g. onboarding, CRM, user support)
- Handle one-off special projects with the co-founders (e.g. fundraising, user research, internal tools)
- Monitor analytics, user feedback, and marketing performance to drive decisions
- Fill gaps across departments — product, ops, support, marketing — wherever help is needed
Qualifications:
- A sharp, curious, and high-agency generalist — you love wearing multiple hats
- A creative doer who knows how to get scrappy with content and social media
- Comfortable writing, storytelling, and shaping how we show up online
- Analytical and organized — you think in terms of systems and performance metrics
- Able to self-manage and thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Confident communicator who brings ideas to the table and defends them with logic
- Comfortable using tools like Notion, Airtable, Figma, Canva, and Google Sheets
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience running or growing a brand on social media (even your own!)
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup or in a jack-of-all-trades role
- Veteran or enlisted military experience
- Degree from a top-tier university or proven record at a high-growth company
- Based in or willing to commute to NYC frequently
Compensation:
- Salary range: $120,000 - $180,000
- Equity: 0.25% - 2%
- Other: Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance
