Our Head of Sales will help position Radicle as not just a trial provider, but a strategic innovation partner fueling the R&D, IP creation, and growth engines of some of the world’s largest wellness companies.
Since launching 4 years ago, we’ve become the #1 clinical evidence provider for the U.S. nutrition industry and we’ve even executed blinded placebo-controlled trials on more Americans than all U.S. FDA drug trials combined in the same period.

Radicle is a team of 30+ inspired, multi-disciplinary professionals across science, technology, data and AI, marketing, business development and G&A. The company was co-founded by Dr. Jeff Chen, MD/MBA (Founder and former Director of UCLA research center on botanical medicines) and Pelin Thorogood, M.Eng/MBA (serial tech executive, founder, and Trustee & Vice Chair of the UCSD Foundation, recognized as an Inc. 200 Female Founder). Advisors include Peter Diamandis (Fortune’s 100 Most Influential World Leaders), Dr. Jonathan Fielding (UCLA Fielding School of Public Health), and Pamela Harbour (former Commissioner of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission).
About the Position
Radicle Science is seeking a strategic, results-driven Head of Sales to lead enterprise and strategic account selling across the consumer health landscape. This leader will play a critical role in expanding Radicle's footprint across CPG, food, beverage, and wellness companies, introducing these organizations to Radicle's Proof-as-a-Service platform and related offerings.
As Head of Sales, you'll be both a high-performing individual contributor focused on closing strategic accounts and a leader who can elevate the capabilities and performance of an existing 3-person sales team. You will help optimize our structure and operations systems as well as contribute go-to-market strategy to scale a world-class sales function rooted in operational excellence.
You'll also help communicate and position how Radicle serves as an innovation and IP engine—empowering companies to develop proven, precision wellness products at unprecedented speed, scale, and cost.
Location
Remote (must be willing to work Pacific hours and travel to conferences nationally and internationally as well as to California 2-3 times a year for in-person executive and company-wide gatherings).
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Development
- Own and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to close with major accounts in the CPG, food, beverage, and wellness sectors.
- Build deep relationships with senior decision-makers across innovation, R&D, marketing, and corporate strategy functions.
- Evangelize Radicle's role as an innovation and IP engine for companies to develop proven, precision wellness products at unprecedented speed, scale, and cost.
- Translate customer needs into tailored solutions leveraging Radicle’s AI-enabled clinical trial platform as well as Radicle’s consumer post-purchase health engagement platform
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with Radicle's broader go-to-market plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with science, data, marketing and partnership teams to refine messaging, prioritize opportunities, and shape offerings.
- Lead pipeline development, forecasting, and strategic account planning efforts with the rest of the sales team.
- Navigate complex deal structures, multi-stakeholder environments, and long-term enterprise relationships.
Sales Leadership & Growth
- Strengthen and evolve Radicle's growing sales organization, focusing on structure, performance metrics, and operational excellence.
- Mentor and support existing team members while identifying future talent needs.
- Codify scalable sales processes, systems, and best practices that support sustainable growth.
- Serve as a strategic voice on pricing models, product-market fit, and customer segmentation.
Customer Advocacy & Market Intelligence
- Serve as the voice of the customer within Radicle—surfacing feedback and identifying trends that inform product development and strategic decisions.
- Represent Radicle at industry events and conferences, strengthening our presence and visibility in the market.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with 5+ years in a senior or strategic sales role.
- Proven track record of selling to enterprise clients in CPG, food, beverage, supplements, wellness, or related verticals.
- Experience with consultative selling, complex deal cycles, and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated success leading or scaling a sales team with measurable impact.
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment with autonomy, initiative, and flexibility.
- Strategic thinker with a builder mindset; eager to both sell and scale a high-performing sales function.
