Job Description:

Position Summary:

Press Hook is seeking an experienced and charismatic PR Account Director to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, with a strong focus on client-facing roles within the Customer Goods/Lifestyle industries. This individual will be responsible for our Premium Brands: onboarding new clients, setting scope / boundaries, and managing a small team of publicists dedicated to media outreach. The PR Account Director will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing client relationships, ensuring the successful execution of PR strategies, and driving the overall success of our clients' media presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Understand clients' business goals, PR needs, and industry trends to provide strategic advice and guidance.
  • Encourage clients to explore new PR opportunities while setting realistic expectations and boundaries.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a small team of publicists focused on media outreach and client support.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.
  • Provide regular feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.

Media Outreach:

  • Oversee the development and execution of media outreach strategies to secure press coverage for clients.
  • Leverage media relationships to maximize opportunities for clients and ensure consistent and positive media presence.
  • Monitor media trends and identify new opportunities for client exposure.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate and manage multiple PR campaigns and projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and managing goals and expectations.
  • Track and report on client's PR performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all client deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, with a strong focus on client-facing roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and delivering impactful PR campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing a team of publicists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and media contacts.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the media landscape and industry trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
