The Role
We’re seeking a Procurement Cost Intelligence Analyst to join our team and support the development of our product capabilities around total cost of ownership. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and energized by the intersection of procurement, economics, and product innovation. You’ll work closely with and report directly to our Chief Analytics Officer, taking guidance to ensure that cost intelligence and modeling align with Kloopify’s product vision and client needs.

The Role
We’re seeking a Procurement Cost Intelligence Analyst to join our team and support the development of our product capabilities around total cost of ownership. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and energized by the intersection of procurement, economics, and product innovation. You’ll work closely with and report directly to our Chief Analytics Officer, taking guidance to ensure that cost intelligence and modeling align with Kloopify’s product vision and client needs.
What You’ll Do
- Perform should-cost modeling and analyze key cost drivers (materials, labor, tariffs)
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials for diverse products, create custom price indices, and use AI tools for forecasting and scenario analysis
- Manage, clean, and analyze complex datasets using advanced Excel, AI Scripting, and Python
- Integrate and extract actionable insights from US/global public databases (Census Bureau, BLS, EPA, Dataweb) and private datasets (labor, commodities, energy)
- Apply macroeconomic, procurement, and statistical expertise (Monte Carlo simulations, Bayesian statistics, and other modeling techniques) to strengthen methodologies and risk assessments.
- Collaborate in a dynamic startup, problem-solving with agility and driving product innovation under direct mentorship.
Must-Have:
- Extensive experience with procurement and supply chain data
- High proficiency in Excel, Python, and scripting
- Demonstrated statistical tool use, including Monte Carlo and Bayesian techniques
- Experience with BOM development and price indices
- Deep knowledge of macroeconomics, databases (public/private), and market dynamics
- SaaS or startup background
- Familiarity with product development cycles
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and driven by data
- Curious, adaptable, and hands-on in ambiguous settings
