Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Labs) - Singapore
Company Overview
k-ID is the global leader in privacy-first compliance and age verification infrastructure. Recognized as one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2025, named a Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and a winner of Fast Company's Next Big Things in Tech, we are building the Age Layer for the internet—the fundamental infrastructure that allows digital platforms to verify age and manage compliance globally without friction.
Our core platform, anchored by the Compliance Development Kit (CDK) and AgeKit, is the trusted engine for the world's largest game publishers and digital ecosystems. We replace fragmented, manual compliance with a unified API that handles age verification, parental consent, and regulatory logic across 200+ markets. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms like a16z and Lightspeed, k-ID is entering a phase of growth to define the standard for global digital safety.
Job Summary
Labs is k-ID's innovation team. It builds the products and capabilities that become the next generation of the platform, working closely with the customers who will be the first to use them.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Labs, you own the build. You take validated ideas and turn them into products a customer runs in production, then you make them hold up as that customer scales. The work reaches real users quickly, and you will be close to the people using it.
Labs builds with agents. Day to day that means writing detailed specifications, working with agents to build against them, reviewing the code that comes back, and continually iterating on and improving your own rig so that the next build is better than the last. Shaping how the team works this way is part of the role, not a side effect of it.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who executes independently, makes sound technical decisions, and thrives where systems and processes are still taking shape. You will make architecture calls, own the quality bar, and operate what you ship.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
6 or more years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a startup or high growth environment
Demonstrated experience using coding agents for production work, including how you specify work for them and how you review what they produce
Strong experience with Go, TypeScript, React, and Next.js
Experience building modern full stack applications using technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, S3, and Kubernetes
Experience with server rendered web applications and modern frontend architecture
Experience taking a system from technical design through to production, and operating it once it is there
Experience partnering with designers to build polished and intuitive user experiences
Comfort working across product requirements, technical design, implementation, testing, and production support
Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work with a few hours of overlap each day with the wider team, starting from 14:00 UTC
Familiarity with compliance related or regulated product environments is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
Build and maintain the full stack applications behind k-ID's newest products, from first release through to production scale
Write the detailed specifications that agents build against, and review the resulting code to a high standard
Iterate on and improve your own development rig so that each build is better than the last
Contribute to technical design and implementation decisions across frontend, backend, APIs, and data flows
Harden new systems for load and accuracy before they scale
Work with product managers, designers, and legal stakeholders to turn complex requirements into clear and usable product experiences
Develop responsive, reliable, and maintainable applications using Next.js and related technologies
