Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Analytics Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and business teams to develop, maintain, and optimize our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data transformations and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting (currently postgresql / bigquery / Metabase)
- Develop and implement data models in collaboration with the Rails app development team to make sure schemas are scalable and appropriate up and down the data pipeline
- Develop and implement dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability by implementing best practices in data validation and testing
- Optimize and improve existing data workflows, ensuring efficiency and scalability
- Support ad-hoc data requests and analysis to drive strategic decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related role
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Ruby or a similar language
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt)
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Metabase or Looker
- Experience in Metabase and Metabase Metrics Layers is a plus
- Prior experience working at an early-stage SaaS platform is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and development
- Experience working in a startup environment that has scaled up
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts
- Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
- You will work directly with a small, talented development team, fostering close collaboration and learning opportunities
- You will have the opportunity to help push features to production fast and often, making a tangible impact on the product and the company’s growth
