Overview

Electric is seeking a Manager, Hardware Lab to oversee and optimize our Hardware Lab operations in our Denton, Texas office. Reporting to the VP, Service Operations, you will lead the Hardware Lab team and act as the primary escalation point for planning, implementing, and managing vendor relationships within supply chain functions. Your key focus will be to ensure these functions are streamlined and efficient to support our business efforts, and customer success. This role thrives on collaboration and will require you to work closely cross-functionally to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics and tech professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, encouraging their professional growth and development
  • Manage team KPIs to meet internal and external stakeholder expectations
  • Implement tools and processes to improve turnaround time and customer success
  • Solution development and design of warehouse growth and expansion projects, including the development of existing facilities, and modeling of on-site processes
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. Create training and documentation for hardware processes to level up knowledge across the org.
  • Handle day-to-day shipping procurement, inventory, and receiving, overseeing more than 300 packages daily
  • Oversee vendor relationships within the supply chain, collaborating closely with vendors to meet customer needs and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and growth planning for employees
  • Work with VP, Service Operations on weekly reporting activities and team planning
  • Support team, as an escalation point, with vendor management activities

Who you are

  • Able to be onsite in the Denton office 5 days a week
  • Able to travel offsite to customer locations
  • 3-5 years of warehouse and logistics experience, management experience preferred
  • People leader first, with stringent time management requirements to ensure capacity – and an empathetic approach to de-escalating internal conflicts.
  • Understanding of worldwide courier vendors and ability to engage in continual process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in warehouse and inventory efficiency initiatives to maximize utilization of available space.
  • Knowledge of inventory management strategies, and control measures to minimize excess stock and prevent shortages.
  • Experience with Inventory Management software to prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, and expenditures.
  • Experience maintaining established levels of goods based on sales forecasts and demand to fulfill orders on time.
  • Proficient in standard office software tools (office 365 / Google Workspace)
  • Experience in JIRA/JSM or other ticketing software a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with device management tool sets a plus but not required

Physical Requirements
This is a physical role that requires the ability to lift boxes, equipment, or inventory items, weighing up to 25 pounds. You must be comfortable with a mix of both computer and physical work and have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, especially when physically handling IT equipment.

Where?

We are headquartered in NYC, with an office in Denton, TX and remote locations across 24 states. Our largest markets outside of the Tri-State area and Dallas-Fort Worth area are San Diego, Denver, Raleigh. We embrace a hybrid culture and offer opportunities throughout the year for folks to get together in regional markets or at HQ. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones.
