At EdSights, we’re building technology that helps colleges and universities better understand and support their students—at scale. Our platform amplifies the student voice in real time, giving institutions the insights they need to improve outcomes and retention. Today, we partner with 250+ colleges and universities across the country and are growing quickly.

We’re backed by a recent $80M investment from JMI Equity and are in a phase of rapid execution and expansion. This role is an opportunity to do meaningful, hands-on work at a high-growth startup tackling one of higher education’s most urgent problems: helping more students access college—and supporting them all the way through graduation.

You’ll join a driven, thoughtful team that values ownership, moves quickly, and cares deeply about building products that make a measurable difference for students.

“EdSights has perhaps the world’s most valuable data set on what college students need to navigate their academic lives.”

- The Washington Post

The Opportunity

As EdSights grows, so does the complexity and importance of our data integrations. We're hiring our first Technical Integrations Consultant to take dedicated ownership of the technical connections between EdSights and our partner institutions — and to help build the processes, documentation, and best practices that will scale with us.

In this role, you'll be the technical bridge between EdSights and partner IT teams, owning the setup, maintenance, and health of integrations that move data securely and reliably in both directions. You'll work primarily with SFTP-based file transfers, advising partners on data mapping and structure while collaborating closely with Implementation, Engineering, Product, and Partner Success teams internally.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who enjoys solving real technical problems, working cross-functionally, and building things that last. If you're energized by the opportunity to step into a new function, shape how it operates, and see the direct impact of your work — this role was designed for you.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the end-to-end configuration of partner integrations by gathering requirements, coordinating with partner IT teams, and partnering closely with the EdSights Implementation Manager to align integration setup with onboarding timelines and partner launch plans.
  • Own the setup, support, and ongoing maintenance of SFTP-based data imports and exports, ensuring files are formatted correctly, delivered securely, and processed reliably.
  • Validate incoming partner data for accuracy, completeness, and formatting consistency, and troubleshoot integration failures or data quality issues.
  • Coordinate with Engineering/Product to configure and maintain export files, data structures, and delivery schedules for partner systems such as Starfish, Navigate, or Salesforce.
  • Project manage export setup processes, including hosting technical setup meetings, aligning on expectations and timelines, and confirming successful data delivery.
  • Work consultatively with Partner Success and partner institutions to design export workflows and data structures that align with institutional processes and support effective action in downstream systems.
  • Develop expertise in partner platforms and technology stacks to provide recommendations and share best practices on data mapping, field usage, and export structure.
  • Document integration configurations, file formats, schedules, and partner-specific requirements to maintain clear internal visibility and consistency.
  • Help establish and evolve integration best practices, documentation standards, and scalable processes as EdSights builds its integration function.

About You

  • 3–5 years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in a SaaS or EdTech environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting SFTP-based integrations, data pipelines, and system-to-system data exchanges; working knowledge of SQL required
  • Experience working with structured data files (e.g., CSV or flat files), including analyzing, mapping, and troubleshooting data between systems
  • Strong communication skills and technical acumen, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with partner IT teams
  • Strong project management and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously and clearly capture requirements, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams including Implementation, Product, Engineering, and Client Success
  • Self-starter and independent problem-solver who thrives in ambiguous environments, takes initiative, and is energized by the opportunity to build processes and capabilities from the ground up

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with higher education systems or student success platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Starfish, Navigate, or Salesforce is a plus
