Responsibilities
As the Chief Medical Officer at Century Health, you will serve as our senior clinical voice, partnering closely with our founders and technical team to ensure that our AI platform meets the highest standards of clinical rigor. You will work across medical, commercial, and product functions to advance our mission of transforming real-world clinical data into research-grade insights for life sciences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Partner closely with our engineering and data science teams on the development, training, and validation of CHARM (Century Health Abstraction and Retrieval Model) for clinical abstraction tasks across all disease areas.
Define and oversee clinical quality standards for abstracted variables, ensuring outputs meet research-grade requirements for biopharma use cases including RWE, HEOR, and medical affairs.
Advise on disease area expansion strategy across our current focus areas (neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and pulmonology) and future indications.
Serve as a senior clinical resource in biopharma partner engagements, supporting the credibility and depth of our scientific and commercial conversations.
Represent Century Health at conferences and industry meetings to build relationships with KOLs, provider networks, and life sciences stakeholders.
Advise on IRB submissions, data governance frameworks, and ethical standards for patient data use in research contexts.
Work cross-functionally with founders, engineering, and BD to ensure clinical insight is embedded across the product roadmap and customer delivery.
Requirements
MD required; subspecialty training in one or more of our core disease areas (neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, pulmonology) preferred.
10+ years of clinical experience, with demonstrated depth in complex patient populations and interpreting unstructured clinical documentation.
Hands-on familiarity with EHR systems and the structure of real-world clinical data, including clinical notes, imaging reports, and lab values.
Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML applications in clinical medicine, including model training, validation, and clinical benchmarking.
Prior experience in life sciences, pharma/biotech advisory, RWE, HEOR, or medical affairs is preferred.
Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment with high ambiguity and significant autonomy.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate clinical concepts for technical and commercial audiences.
Willing to travel for conferences, meetings, and customer visits as needed.
