Responsibilities
As a Founding Engineer at Century Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy, product, and culture. This unique opportunity involves making critical architectural decisions, balancing tradeoffs, and understanding the risks involved. You will collaborate closely with the founders and engineering team to build a scalable, robust platform incorporating data processing, AI, user experience, and seamless design, ultimately accelerating treatment options for patients worldwide.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of our AI-powered healthcare data platform, focusing on speed, scalability, and user experience.
Own and ship product features from inception to implementation at startup velocity.
Collaborate with clinical researchers and biopharma end users to translate complex clinical requirements into technical solutions.
Work closely with a small team of software engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance as needed.
Establish and maintain a high standard of code quality, documentation, and development practices.
Be a driving force in strategic planning, technology selection, and architecture decisions.
Contribute to creating a culture of shipping, quality, feedback, and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a startup environment
Proficiency in ReactJS, Typescript, NodeJS, PostgresSQL, and AWS or similar technologies
A history of delivery on high impact, organizational projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
Passion for product development and a willingness to take initiative and ownership of projects.
Commitment to following best practices and standards for software development.
Experience in healthcare data technologies is a strong plus.
