The Bright Harbor Advisor Network offers a remote and mission-driven opportunity to help people recover from federally declared disasters. When a qualifying natural disaster happens, you’ll walk alongside survivors with compassion and clarity, helping them understand their situation, develop a clear recovery plan, and connect to the appropriate tools, services, and support to rebuild their lives.
Advisors are the heartbeat of Bright Harbor’s mission. They serve as trusted guides and the main point of contact for those navigating disaster recovery.
Ideal Candidates:
Can be activated on short notice in either a full or part-time capacity if a qualifying natural disaster occurs.
Experience in catastrophe/disaster response or recovery, housing support, case management, or rebuilding coordination, or survivor of a natural disaster who wants to give back and share what they’ve learned with others
Bias for action: self-starter, highly organized and proactive - sees what needs to be done, takes initiative and drives progress
Tech-comfortable and curious by nature: Learns new tools quickly, adapts easily, and loves helping improve the systems we use every day.
Exceptional communicator: Clear, empathetic, and self-aware - leads with high EQ and a people-first mindset
Ownership and integrity: Takes full responsibility for outcomes, follows through relentlessly, and does the right thing even when no one’s watching.
Mission-driven: genuinely cares about survivors and finds purpose and energy in helping people rebuild their lives.
Responsibilities:
Support 20-80 clients per month during disaster activations, ensuring consistent, high-quality guidance and care
Lead clients through onboarding, recovery planning, and key recovery decisions to help them move forward confidently
Provide clients with relevant resources, vendor referrals, and actionable next steps tailored to their recovery journey
Keep cases and client accounts organized and up to date in Bright Harbor’s platform, tracking progress every step of the way
Collaborate with internal experts and external partners when cases need extra attention, ensuring every client gets the right support at the right time
Time Commitment:
Receive up to 30 hours of training to develop the skills and confidence needed to support people when it counts most.
