What you will do:
- Own and execute category-level sourcing strategies aligned with broader business goals.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, cost modeling, contract negotiation, and supplier onboarding.
- Drive supplier relationship management, including scorecards, and performance improvement plans.
- Conduct strategic market analysis and category assessments to shape long-term sourcing roadmaps.
- Map and mitigate supply risk across the network, including geopolitical events or single-source dependencies.
- Serve as primary procurement contact for high-priority manufacturing partners; lead proactive resolution of escalations.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, and Innovation to qualify new suppliers and materials, ensuring feasibility and cost alignment.
- Own and execute quarterly pricing activities, including cost validation and variance analysis.
- Forecast category pricing trends and input into annual planning and COGS strategy.
- Guide and advise team members on niche category ownership as needed.
- Develop SOPs and standardized processes for key initiatives
- Build and maintain shared-access tools and dashboards to improve transparency and execution in ingredient management.
- Design inventory management strategies when needed to address risk, service, or cost concerns across the network.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Your experience:
- 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, ideally within the CPG or food manufacturing sector required.
- Strong understanding of ingredient sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation required.
- Proficiency in Excel (ex. pivot tables, lookups) required.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms like TraceGains is a plus.
- Familiarity with both ingredients and packaging procurement preferred.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, R&D, Quality, and manufacturing partners preferred.
- Previous people management experience is preferred.
