Well that’s your D-R-E-A-M. Alright, we’ll stop with the spelling and get down to business. If you’re ready to elevate account relationships, directly manage broker and distributor relationships, work with our Sales leaders across Channels (and more), our familia is searching for a Director of Sales for our Kroger business! About you:

  • You have a deep understanding of the grocery channel, including industry trends.
  • You’re familiar, friendly, and connected with the teams at Kroger, and you’re eager to talk about all things Siete, too.
  • You’ve been told more than a few times that your storytelling and communication skills are a 7/7! You’re clear, concise, and caring— in writing and IRL (in real life).
  • You’re like a generator for ideas, inspo, and insights—you’d give Chat GPT a run for its money, or so you’ve been told!
  • “Teamwork makes the dreamwork!” This quote may not require much explanation, but you still always keep it top of mind because—Juntos es Mejor (together is better!).
  • You make solving problems look easy. (It might be because you’ve adapted the infamously catchy line of “Yo, if there’s a problem, I’ll solve it. Check out the hook while DJ revolves it,” as your personal motto.)
  • You know that setting, tracking, and planning for goals is essential to success, but you’re also flexible when it comes to shifting gears. To quote Ross from Friends, “PIVOT!”

What you will do:

  • Serve as the primary Sales contact for Kroger relationships with ownership of annual planning, trade execution, forecasting, supply chain, and selling efforts.
  • Work with the Senior leaders across Channels on strategic initiatives to deliver annual plan objectives.
  • Ensure regular communication and alignment on account progress with cross-functional partners in Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Develop and lead a direct report who is accountable for delivering sales objectives in their assigned territory.
  • Directly manage broker and distributor relationships to maximize performance through annual goal setting, progress check-ins, and commission reporting.
  • Elevate account relationships across all Kroger commodities, cultivating strategic partnerships and brand advocates.
  • Demonstrate command over Plan and Forecast numbers for your own accounts as well as understanding the impact to the channel and broader team.
  • Analyze past business performance to build improved sales plans.
  • Represent Siete at broker trainings, retail meetings, conferences and trade events.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% and attend trade shows.

Your experience:

  • 7+ years Sales Manager experience in grocery channels in the US is required
  • Prior experience in CPG food/beverage is required
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (SPINS, Nielsen/IRI, Stratum, etc.) is required
  • Relationship experience with retail/grocery, brokers, and distributors is required
  • Previous people management experience is preferred
