We are seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for implementing a lean and rigorous set of standards that are necessary to ensure confident shipment of a flight unit. This individual will lay the foundation for a factory design that is scalable and realizable over the next 1-2 years, which will facilitate the delivery of multiple spacecrafts.

Responsibilities

• Development and management of production and engineering release schedule
• Shop floor planning and resourcing including hardware procurement, consumables, and tooling
• Advocate for improvements in design for manufacturing and for test
• Procurement and BOM management
• Process planning and implementation
• Review designs and perform Design for Manufacturing checks
• Facilitate builds for engineering units, qualification articles, and flight assemblies

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing engineer role, leadership and aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ownership of a product from original design to manufacturing delivery
• Experience establishing aerospace manufacturing quality and traceability systems, preferred
• Familiarity with CAD and BOM management, preferred
• Familiarity with aerospace system hardware and composites, bonded structures, pressurized systems, electromechanical systems, preferred

The base salary range for this position is $140,000-160,000. When determining an individual’s compensation, we consider several factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data, so pay for this role may vary from the amounts listed.
