We are looking for a Global Mobility Manager to join our Reward & Mobility team. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission, by shaping Wise’s global mobility strategy. This includes developing policies and processes to support the successful relocation and assignment of employees overseas, as well as reviewing the current state of play to identify key risks and implementing changes to mitigate them.
The role will report to the Head of Reward and Mobility based in London.

The Reward and Mobility team is part of the People Tribe at Wise. We are responsible for developing and implementing leading global reward policies, delivering our comprehensive stock offering, developing executive compensation policies, coordinating salary review processes and curating our benefits offering. We work on lots of cool and exciting projects to help our people deliver Wise’s mission. The nature of our work also means that we collaborate with a huge range of people across Wise and there are tons of opportunities to get involved in all sorts of different initiatives within our organisation.
Your mission
-
Take the lead in various aspects of Global Mobility by building up the GM policies and processes at Wise. This includes:
Establishing a global mobility framework within Wise to effectively manage the movement of Wisers across locations.
Reviewing and setting up processes and controls to improve compliance, cost effectiveness and enhance accountability of mobility decisions within the business.
Assessing Wise’s global mobility needs and challenges with the aim of strategically aligning the global mobility function with the business.
Educating and supporting management teams on HR and financial implications and risks of globally mobile employees and how those risks can be mitigated.
Create cost estimates and approval process flows to enable better decision making around relocations.
Develop appropriate levels of policy in terms of assignment reward, benefits and terms.
Good awareness of cross border payroll and tax implications.
Collaborate with in-house subject matter specialists and external vendors to minimise global mobility risks to employees and the business i.e. legal, employment tax, corporate tax, immigration etc.
Identify and recommend external vendors such as relocation agencies or technology solutions for continuous improvements of our global mobility processes.

A bit about you:
As we continue to scale at speed, you’ll need to be proactive, independent and excited at the prospect of solving unfamiliar problems.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and uncertain environment and be able to prioritise and create structure.
Experienced with in-house global mobility functions and external technology solutions for managing global mobility processes.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage complex projects from inception to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with employees and management at all organisational levels.
Proven to be able to think on your feet and roll your sleeves up.
Some extra skills that would be fantastic:
Some HRIS knowledge eg. experience with global mobility processes using Workday.
Global Mobility certification to demonstrate your expertise and commitment within the GM field would be a nice-to-have, but not required.
Financial services experience with insights on international assignment policies, compliance and controls that may be unique to the FS sector.
Salary: £79,000 - 97,000
