We are on a mission to reduce the barriers to net zero! Companies are increasingly looking for ways to show their commitment to combating climate change and attract environmentally conscious customers and talent, but existing solutions are often perceived as too hard and/or too expensive.

trace for Business enables small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to measure, manage and mitigate the CO2 emissions from their operations and supply chain without the cost of consultants. We leverage technology to redefine the pathway to net zero and make it accessible to companies of any size, in any industry.

We have grown rapidly in Australia and are ready to take on the European market so we’re hiring our first employee in the UK to make that a reality. If you’re thirsty to learn, excited to help companies reach Net Zero and ready for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new leads from our ideal customer profile (ICP)
  • Establish partnerships with values- and customer- aligned businesses to educate SMEs about Net Zero and ultimately generate leads for Trace
  • Support prospects throughout the sales process including education, data gathering and onboarding (you would be trained on this!)
  • Develop client proposals to clearly communicate how Trace works and the value we bring
  • Become a thought leader: Research, identify and share relevant information and trends relating to carbon footprinting, carbon emissions reduction, environmental legislation, competitor advancements and emerging sustainability strategies

What We’ll Love About You

  • Sales, marketing or business development experience, ideally in a B2B startup environment (min 3 years +)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to represent complex information in a simple and accessible way
  • Flexible, resilient and creative - this is an agile startup environment with lots of ambiguity!
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills as you will be juggling multiple priorities
  • Nice to have
  • Experience in environmental consulting / corporate sustainability / carbon accounting
