About the role
As a Social Media Coordinator at SideQuest, you’ll play an essential role in our Community and Marketing team, ensuring the continuous promotion of SideQuest and Banter through all channels. You will understand how best to utilize available tools to promote SideQuest effectively to new and existing audiences. You will partner closely with the Design and Community teams to review analytics of social media campaigns, identify key trends, and develop digital content to promote SideQuest to our existing followers and beyond.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes organization and creativity. We’re keen to see exceptional communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work autonomously while ensuring reliability and consistency in your work. Experience creating social media content and analyzing interaction and data is vital, leading your own campaigns is an added bonus.
Your main mission:
- Create and schedule posts across all SideQuest social media platforms ensuring that the content is tailored to maximize performance on each specific platform.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar coordinated around key events, promotions, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging and relevant content.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Track and analyze the performance of social media campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain organized folders and documentation for social media assets, including images, videos, and copy.
- Keep records of all scheduled and published content for reference and reporting.
- Ensure consistent and effective communication of the organization's brand voice across all media channels.
Skills you’ll need:
- Some level of experience in a community, marketing or social media role.
- Strong attention to detail and content review capabilities to ensure error-free and strategically aligned posts.
- Independent work management for daily tasks and long-term projects.
- Consistent reliability in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
- Staying informed about the latest social media trends and best practices, and being proactive in suggesting new ideas and improvements for social media presence.
- Ability to assess trending topics in the VR and gaming space to promote the organization.
- Effective communication with team members and ability to provide regular updates and performance reports.
Bonus skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations (PR) or similar
- Experience working with Zoho, Hootsuite or similar
- Previous experience in a startup environment, even better if you’ve been fully remote
