Boost is a global platform that powers FMCG manufacturers and last mile distribution networks with radically easy technology and growth services. Boost’s Platform-as-a-Service offering includes:

  • WhatsApp ordering to grow sales and serve more retailers with less effort;
  • An offline-enabled sales app for sales reps to manage their customers;
  • A fully-featured fulfilment platform with end-to-end visibility; and
  • Digital payment and credit solutions in partnership with Mastercard.

In Africa, there are over 100 million convenience retailers that contribute to 70% of the continent’s employment and provide food and provisions to 1.3 billion people. Despite the proliferation of data internet and smartphones, the vast majority of convenience retailers run their businesses offline and trade in cash.

Boost gives convenience retailers the power to grow by enabling them to order and receive stock from distributors and access working capital to match their supply with demand. Distributors use Boost’s platform to digitally manage their product catalogue, customer base, and end-to-end order fulfilment including inventory, delivery and payment collections. Manufacturers partner with Boost to gain visibility throughout their supply chains and access new routes to market.

We are scaling rapidly in Nigeria led by a team with decades of combined entrepreneurial and business building experience and strong strategic partnerships. We are seeking an energetic, customer focussed, curious Account Manager with 3 to 7 years experience to support new clients on their on-boarding journey.

As an Account Manager for Boost Nigeria, your role will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall on-boarding schedule for customers, ensuring all parties are aligned on dates and deliverables
  • Become a Boost Platform super user, learning all the ins-and-out of the Boost Platform to act as a point-person for customers and your colleagues
  • Lead technical troubleshooting for customers acting as an intermediary between the Boost team and customers
  • Support the CEO in communication with clients and client relationships
  • Preparation of reports as required by leadership and customers
  • Analysis of customer data and monitoring of customer health metrics
  • Identify opportunities to streamline customer’s processes including order taking, payment taking, and order fulfilment
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and be the voice of the customer within the Boost team, sharing and escalating feedback as required.

Role Expectations and Required Skills

You should be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of:

  • Experience working in the FMCG sector, in a tech start-up or within a MFI bank in roles spanning sales, account management, project manager or business analyst.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, setting and meeting deadlines
  • Being accountable and a team player
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Excellent client facing skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships up and down the chain of command.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, slides, docs etc.)
  • PMP or Prince II certification is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with data analysis ( SQL is a plus))

Location: Based in Abuja or Kaduna, with frequent travel to support clients in the North and Middle Belt regions and periodic travel to the HQ in Lagos.

Compensation: Competitive, in line with experience

Start Date: As soon as possible and no later than July 1, 2025
