Mission and Outcomes
We are seeking an experienced and talented QA Engineer with a focus on drone communication systems to join our team. This role involves designing, creating, and executing both manual and automated testing methods. You will join a small but growing QA team that uses tools such as Playwright, Artillery, TypeScript, and Drone Simulators to test a variety of applications. These applications can vary and include our browser app, ground control, and mobile systems. These systems facilitate real-time communication between drones, docking stations, our aerial traffic awareness and ground control station (GCS) platforms, and other external systems to enable autonomous operations.
This is a growth initiated opening that is fully remote but required to be located in the PST region (CA, WA, OR, NV, plus AZ). You will be working as an individual contributor on an established QA team, reporting directly to our Head of Engineering. Previous experience in the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry is a bonus! Compensation is base salary in the range of $120,000 - 170,000 + equity and benefits.

Responsibilities
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases for our browser app, ground control (DJI app), and mobile app
- Create and maintain documentation for testing
- Manually test new features that are difficult to automate
- Use or create necessary tools to diagnose and debug issues
- Assess and evaluate data to identify areas that need improvement
- Update and maintain automated test suites across different platforms
- 4+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- Experience testing with multiple types of applications and platforms (i.e. mobile, web, API, WebRTC)
- Experience with both manual and automated testing
- Experience with Typescript
- Experience with Playwright
- Experience with CI Tools such as GitHub Actions
- Experience with the programming languages Rust and/or Ruby
- Experience with Deployment Tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab, etc.
- Experience and/or the ability to work in a Startup environment
- Located in Pacific Standard Time Zone (PST)
- Will be required to complete Part 107 Training and certification exam
- Playwright with Typescript
