Mission and Outcomes
The Marketing Manager will make a direct and significant impact on the overarching objective of Aerodome's marketing: make Aerodome the category leader in DFR. This person will improve awareness of our brand to our target audiences, particularly customers in public safety. The Marketing Manager will play a vital role in preparing marketing materials for upcoming product launches and company announcements. They will create content to attract new leads, nurture existing leads, and empower our sales team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be an individual contributor and first addition to the Aerodome marketing team. This person will be expected to manage several projects at once and wear multiple hats. Being flexible and comfortable in an ever-evolving, fast-paced environment are critical.
The ideal Marketing Manager is based in the Los Angeles area, willing and able to come into the El Segundo office 2-3 days per week consistently. This position will initially start as a fully remote role but will change to a hybrid setting when our new office officially opens. Travel will be required for events, no more than 25% of the time. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 plus equity in the company and benefits.

Responsibilities
Content Marketing
- Blog coordination: Assist with ideation and creation of blog articles, ensuring there is a steady flow of high-quality content. Prep articles for publication and sharing to appropriate channels. Report on key metrics.
- Social media marketing: Assist with ideation and creation of social posts, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality content. Help discover and maintain our authentic brand voice. Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner. Engage with followers, and grow our audience and reach.
- Create collateral and other content: Ideate, coordinate with key stakeholders (e.g. sales team and designer), and ultimately create content such as white papers, case studies, webinars, and more.
- Email marketing: Coordinate Aerodome newsletter and email blasts.
- Video marketing: Assist with planning, storyboarding, scripting video content. Work with the team on set assisting with production as needed.
- Help develop customer personas and messaging tailored for each
- Research competitors and help develop competitor tools for sales team (e.g. battle cards and messaging)
- Coordinate product launches and all associated activities, bill of materials, etc.
- Coordinate events (especially tier 2 and 3), including planning, registration, team travel, promotion of event, shipping of materials, etc.
- Coordinate creation of relevant content for event when applicable (e.g. lead capture landing page)
- Be able to travel to major events to help set up and manage booth
- Experience in a relevant content marketing or product marketing role at a high-growth startup (targeting 4+ years of relevant experience)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic startup team environment.
- Flexibility to take on new responsibilities, ability to handle changes in priorities and strategies, and eagerness to learn as the company grows.
- Content creation: Strong writing and editing skills to create compelling content for various platforms, including blog posts, social media, emails, and website copy. Familiarity with content management systems is beneficial.
- Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Asana) are essential.
- Digital marketing proficiency: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels such as content marketing, social media, email marketing, SEO and SEM. Experience with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to track and optimize campaigns.
- Customer-centric mindset: Understanding of the target audience and the ability to develop marketing strategies that resonate with customers' needs and preferences.
